Protesters against the illegal extraction of gold in the Chah Ab district of Takhar province set fire to Taliban company equipment. A video obtained by Afghanistan International shows a column of smoke rising from the area. Sources in Takhar said at least three locals and a "Taliban member" were killed in the clashes.
